LPTW Gilder/Coigney International Theatre Award Call for Nominations

The International Committee of the LPTW invites all members to nominate exceptional women theatre artists from around the world to be considered for the 2014 LPTW Gilder/Coigney International Award. Please refer to nomination criteria as specified in the Award description.

2014 Nomination Guidelines

Who May Nominate a Candidate? Any member of the League in good standing, at any level, including affiliates, may nominate a candidate.

When May You Nominate a Candidate?  Anytime between April 1 and September 30, 2013. WE ENCOURAGE SUBMISSIONS WELL AHEAD OF THE 9/30/13 DEADLINE

What Is Required to Nominate a Candidate? Given that some potential nominees may be in sensitive political or social circumstances, depending on their country or region, you must first inform a candidate that she is going to be nominated. If she agrees to accept the nomination, then she must be prepared to submit a press packet or other materials supporting her work. [Note: inability for candidate to personally supply this documentation is not necessarily a disqualifier.]

It is important that the nominator support and work with her nominee to supply all the necessary information (CV, biography, photos, reviews, etc.) on behalf of their application. If the nominee is unable to transmit materials, the nominator must take that responsibility.

How Do You Complete The Nomination Process? The nomination form must be completed. Basic biographical and contact information about the candidate needs to be entered, along with a statement of support by the nominating LPTW member. Supplementary materials (see nomination form for more details) are emailed to InternationalAward@theatrewomen.org.
