Explore the process of poetry and painting with poet and artist, Harriet Slaughter actress, singer, dancer, arts administrator.  As former Co-President of the League of Professional Theatre Women, she co-produced the Women in Theatre CUNY TV series for 5 years, was photo editor of the League’s Women in Theatre magazine, served as Project Coordinator for  the 2008 Curtain Call at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center and created the LPTW Oral History Exhibition as part of the League’s 30th Anniversary celebration at the same institution.


She will demonstrate how poetry inspires painting and how painting influences the written word. Selections from her new book, ARS POETICA  will be read. In honor of Shakespeare’s birthday participants will share their favorite quote and close with a champagne toast to process and poetica!
